SOBEWFF® Presents the Inaugural ‘Overtown Gospel Brunch’ Hosted by Chef Marcus Samuelsson

On Sunday, February 23, 2025, the inaugural Overtown Gospel Brunch, hosted by renowned Chef Marcus Samuelsson and friends, will take center stage at the iconic Red Rooster Overtown in Miami.

Presented by the South Beach Wine & Food Festival® (SOBEWFF®), this event promises to be more than just a brunch — it’s a celebration of Overtown’s rich history, culture, and resilience through food, music, and community spirit.

“Gospel Brunch is all about celebrating the historic Overtown community by bringing together incredible Black-owned businesses, soulful live music, and amazing food,” shared Chef Marcus Samuelsson, Food Network star and owner of Red Rooster Overtown.

The Overtown Gospel Brunch isn’t just about delicious food and entertainment—it’s a meaningful initiative with a purpose. Proceeds from this inaugural event will benefit the Florida International University Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management. Specifically, the funds will be directed toward scholarships for Overtown students, helping to pave the way for future culinary and hospitality leaders.
