Rene Benton: From Global Stages to Livin’ Loud in Omaha
Rene Benton isn’t your average guitarist—he’s a Marine Corps veteran turned globe-trotting shredder, conquering stages across 42 states and over 70 countries. From backing rock legend Chubby Checker to Swedish superstar Gigi Hamilton, Rene’s journey is built on versatility and grit. But now? He’s coming home.
With his third album, “2 Live in O-Ma-Haw; Lyvv in Omaha,” having dropped in November, Rene is taking listeners on a sonic tour through Omaha’s culture, blending music, storytelling, and local history. “Omaha is a city that’s often overlooked,” Benton says. “I wanted to bring its stories and evolution to life.”
Rene’s path to rock and metal was organic. Born in the funk, R&B, and soul realm, he craved more guitar—finding his way into genres packed with riffs and intensity. His influences? Funk, jazz, and even country players. But there’s one rock god he tips his hat to: Tony MacAlpine.
This man’s been places—performing near the DMZ border in Korea, drowning out propaganda with straight-up guitar firepower. And the journey hasn’t been easy; the music industry keeps changing, but Rene’s kept his mission strong. As a follower of Christ, his concerts offer more than music: they’re about connection, energy, and thought-provoking vibes.
Fans can expect a classy yet aggressive experience—an explosion of sound that leaves you thinking long after the lights dim.
Mark your calendars. Rene Benton’s back where it all started—Lyvv in Omaha is about to set the city ablaze.
