Are they strange or are they just women? This collection of short stories is filled with tragedy, truth, and tall tales. Mermaids: A story about freedom. It begins with a storm, like all disasters at sea, and it ends with a shipwreck, like all things in life. The pirate wakes up to a song: an odd occurrence for both pirate and mermaid. Goddesses: A story about vengeance. Straying far from the initial beliefs of the New Light, the last diarchs claimed divine ancestry to enforce their rule upon the ancient City. The Mad Moon and the Impostor God are now the successors to power, but their interests greatly differ.
