Emerging RnB Artist Khadi Lee on Deal with ‘Greater Than Distribution’ Led by Randy Jackson and Paula Moore
Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio the rising RnB artist Khadi Lee has already made a name for himself in his hometown by collaborating with iHeartRadio for his EP “Sneaky Link” in 2022. Deciding to move to LA in 2023, he worked on new music and explored the local industry scene. With a sold-out headline show at The Virgil in November 2023 for his single release “This Ain’t About Us”, a collaboration with Nesquik as a brand ambassador, and a new EP on the way, the move to LA has been a full success.
Adding to his journey highlights, Khadi recently signed a distribution deal with emerging music entertainment company Greater Than Distribution, spearheaded by leading A&R Researcher Paula Moore, and music icon Randy Jackson and powered by Virgin Music. Khadi’s first single is slated for release this summer and his EP to follow in fall.
“My move to LA has taught me that to grow as an artist I had to be willing to take risks, even if that means failing at times. I’m more excited than ever to release new music, because I had the freedom to play around with new sounds, and collaborating with a distribution company that is partnered with Virgin Music / Universal Music Group and believes in artist development is a great match at the right time.” – Khadi Lee
Khadi Lee weighed in on how his time in LA has impacted his music and teases upcoming EP
Khadi, you’ve told us new music is dropping soon, can you give us any hints on what to expect?
If I could give you a hint about the new music, I would say it gives me a feeling of nostalgia with current-day vibes.”
Has your time in LA impacted your style of music? If yes, how so?
That’s a good question actually, I wouldn’t say that it has changed my style however I’ve definitely become more open to new sounds! I really love the space that I am in right now as a creative and as an artist. Being here has allowed me to work with so many other talented artists, songwriters and producers.
What can you tell us about the first single? What’s the title?
I will announce the name of the single and release date soon, however, I can give you an abbreviation for now, it’s called “CGE”.
How many songs can we expect to have on the EP?
I can’t give you an exact number yet because I am putting the finishing touches on it, but know you’ll have a full body of work!
